NEWNESS.

It's 3.56am and I've decided I want to be new me.

i've even just washed up and tidied the house (febreezed and all) so that i can wake up to a fresh start tomorrow.

THINGS TO DO TO BECOME A NEW ME:

1) stop smoking.
~ my 7 a-day habit has become 2 a-day so i plan to go cold turkey tomorrow. this isn't a random revelation, denying the fact that  i smoke to my mum is basically pointless, my habit is to throw the butts on to the extension roof under my bedroom window. something that went unnoticed by the ma until a week ago when she wondered why there were cigarette butts all over the roof,  i lied and said it was my smoker neighbor clearly smoking out of his window then throwing them on to our roof. so my solution was to start throwing towards the neighbors roof. this was fine for a few days until mrs neighbor complained to my mum that a mount of cigarette butts were pilling up on her roof (cue my 'ohhhh shit!') so i've now come to the conclusion that i should either tell my mum or stop completely. Stopping is defiantly the easier way.

2) stop my late risings
~ i am a night owl. fact. it's just the way i am, but i've deicded to stop my 5am bedtimes, 2pm wake up times for something more acceptible in todays society. 2am bedtime, 10am wake up time? I've never needed more than 8hours sleep so i should be able to cope with this. i hope. no, scratch that, this is going to be my hardest task. dang.

3) exercise
~ i have spent the best pat of 2months lying on the sofa an exhausting everything that sky movies has to offer me and i haven't workout properly since last summer (apart from that zumba class i took with the bestie 2 weeks ago in which i was a complete disaster at due to my lack of co-ordination)  so i'm now a fat size 8. i know you're thinking 'ummm size 8 isnt fat?!' and i know you're right but i actually want to post about this issue properly later on so bare with me for the time being.

4) do something fun with my mum
~ i know it soppy but my sister has gone on an adventure holiday for 3 weeks so i might as well use this time to spend some quality time with the muma before i return back to university and miss more than the fact that the women does my washing, folds my clothes and puts them in my room, its a pure luxury, no, really!

5) finally achieve the perfect Lauren Conrad curls
~ i have naturally thick, curly hair so the best part of the last decade ive straightened  the life out of my curls so that i now have thick, slightly wavy and straight at the ends hair. which to me signals that i need to step away from my beloved ghds and get that 1" curling tong that she uses and accentuate my 'slightly wavy and straight at the ends' hair. it will be a challenge but i can do it. in the words of obama 'YES WE CAN!'

- WISH ME LUCK!

xoxo

  1. All the best with this new you. I loved this post.
I also changed some habits recently. I joined the gym. I need to be strong and get into spinning, yoga and all those things instead of the sauna and steam room.
That will come together with "stop shopping" rule as I plan to have a cheeky swim at lunch time (when I spend most of my money).
    Wish me luck too.
BTW..just discovered you and I'm a new follower of course :)
